Nieuwe kerstboeken van UB Stickdesign zijn ieder jaar weer een feestje. Dit jaar worden we verwend met maar het liefst twee kerstboeken. Het eerste boek hadden we al even in huis, maar het tweede boek was een complete verrassing. En ik kan maar niet beslissen waar ik het liefste iets uit zou gaan maken.
New Christmas books from UB Stickdesign are a treasure every year. This year we got not one but two Christmas books! The first has been in the shop for a while, the second was a surprise. And I can’t decide which one I’d like to start a project from first.
Christmas is meer traditioneel, met warme, rood, groen en witte kleuren.
The Christmas book is more traditional, with warm red, green and white colors.
Es Glitzert is moderner, met allemaal verschillende goudtinten en antiek witte, zachtbeige en naturel kleuren. Hieronder zie je wat voor moois er allemaal in de boeken staat. En dan kun je zelf beslissen wat jouw favoriet is.
Es Glitzert (It shines) is more modern, all different shades of cold and white, beige and naturals. Below you can see the beautiful projects in these books. And then you can decide which one is your favorite.
Deze kerstzakjes die aan de tak met sneeuw hangen vind ik misschien wel het leukst patroon uit dit boek. En dat hangende kerstmannetje kun je ook weer heel goed apart borduren. De kerstmannen op het plaatje ernaast maakten mij aan het lachen. Wat een dolle boel. En hoe leuk om het borduurwerk dan in de vorm van een kerstboom af te werken.
These little Christmas cones might be my favorite project from this book. And you can stitch the Santas from the other photo seperately as well. They make me laught with their silly antics. And what a graet idea to finish your stitching in the shape of a tree.
Je vindt echt van alles in dit boek, van grotere patronen die geschikt zijn voor inlijsten, tafelkleedjes of kussens tot kleine patroontjes die je heel goed voor kaartjes of kerstornamentjes kunt gebruiken. Het Christmas boek kost € 23,90.

Es Glitzert is een heel ander boek, door het gebruik van diverse kleuren gouddraad, krijg je een soort combinatie van modern met klassiek. Ik vind het een prachtig boek, dat komt misschien ook wel door de huisjes die erin staan .
Es Glitzert is a totally different book, by using many different shades of gold, you get a much more contemperate, modern look. I love this book, but that might also be because of the houses that are featured.
De motiefjes uit het dorpje heeft de ontwerpster ook nog weer apart geborduurd en dan op vliesofix bevestigd. Daardoor kun je het gewoon uitknippen.
De kerstboompjes in het tweede plaatje kun je ook heel goed apart borduren. Of gebruik de opvulling van de kerstboom om je passe-partout van een kaartje op te vullen.
The designer stitched the motifs from the little village seperately and used interfacing so that you can cut them out. And you can easily stitch the Christmas trees in the second photo seperately. Or use the filling pattern for a card with a difficult cut-out shape.
